The South Farmington Cemetery and Chapel Association supports the historic and cultural preservation of one of Farmington's most historic cemeteries and structures with a focus on conservation and interpretation of Farmington's history through special projects not funded through the cemetery's operating budget.

The Chapel was to be non-sectarian where temperance classes for school age children and religious practices were held for people of all ages, no matter what their religious beliefs. The Chapel symbolizes one of the first times that the Farmington community came together to work on an ideal for the good of the entire community without regard to individualism.
